Hi all, has anyone caught a codling along the N.Wales coast yet this year? Read of one from Prestatyn (colwyn bay sac member)but very little otherwise.
Seeing as the South and North East coasts are having a bumper time, surely the ratbags must hit the Welsh coast soon...?

Cheers.

Fished Llandudno n.Shore on 7th Feb, a few under size ones caught but nowt in size. One caught at Prestatyn by Colwyn Bay club at 3LB plus. Very poor otherwise.
If they are up North and down South they must get here sometime...hopefully....

I live in North Wales, and all my mate go out on kayaks. None have reported any cod at all this winter. Never known it this bad. The Thornbacks have arrived at Cable bay though.

This is the fish mentioned above, caught by our shore section organiser Terry Jones in our club match at Prestatyn and weighing 03-15-00.

Its only the second Codling weighed in all winter in our league matches, and Terry also had the other one weighing 03-03-08, from Llandudno North Shore in early November.
