One of the best turnouts this year saw the 4th leg of the PM sections matches being fished with the ever growing number of PM members at St Brides. The weather could not have been better, brilliant sunshine with a light North Easterly breeze. Whiting, Flounder and Pouting made up the majority of fish caught but no one complained it was just great to be out catching fish.
It was the junior anglers that who were first to the fish with Gareth Thorne getting to the fish and showing his Dad and brother how to do it. There was a steady flow of fish for the majority of anglers thoughout the match. The Winner of the junior match was Joshua Phillips from Taffs Well with 189cm and Gareth Thorne from Llanharry coming in 2nd with 147cm.
The senior match was won by Rory Jenkins from Tonyrefail with 267cm with a catch of flounder and whiting. Mark Thorne from Llanharry not being outdone by his son came in 2nd with 252cm Richard Poole from Bargoed getting 3rd with 233cm. Over all the fishing was good with Pouting Whiting and Flounder making up the bags, but no one was able to hook up with the Ray or Conger.
