Our club just did a trip to Ireland with 12no. of us travelling from Thursday till Wednesday
Day 1 Started out great with big mullet caught down the side of the harbour wall at Fenit Pier, lots of other species caught which included wrasse, dogs, dabs, pout, loads of minis. Best fish of the day 5lb 12oz undulate ray
Day 2 Ballyquin beach an awsome deep sand beach about 100yds from the car. Loads of small flatties on the flood - two hours after H\W the conger came on the feed and a mullet of 3lb 10oz the best fish of the day
Day 3 Fenit Island- Poor day fishing with dogfish being the only catch of the day the biggest 0.92kg
Day 4 Back to Baallyquin beach and a small flounder took the pool all the rest blanked
In the night we returned to Fenit Pier in perfect condition and fished till midnight with loads of dogs being caught biggest fish 0.94kg
The following day was washed off with torrential rain
Overall a fairly disappointing trip with fishing no better than West Wales and expensive wow- would really consider if ever suggested going again
Anyway its off to Norway next July !!!!!

The daft thing was I didnt once take a rod with me and we stayed next to Fjords every time!!! DOH smile/pcrying.gif
